Rockets vs. Clippers Pre-Game 10/31/22

Rockets Head to L.A., Battle Clippers on Halloween Night

Back Half.    Mini Series.    Less Artillery, More Opportunity.

Kevin Porter Jr. and the Rockets travel to Los Angeles on Halloween night to face the city’s less popular team, the Clippers. The Clips are off to a 2-4 start, and will be without Kawhi Leonard and ex-Rocket John Wall tonight due to injury management. Houston has a chance to pull the scary upset, although don’t be surprised if the squad is tired. It’s the back half of a back-to-back, as they played in Phoenix in last night. It’s also their third game in four night, so tired legs could be emerging in tonight’s tilt.

This matchup is also the first of two in a row against the Clippers, with the second being Wednesday night in Houston. The Rockets should win at least one of these games in this mini-series. The squad is off to a 1-6 start, although they’ve had arguably the league’s toughest schedule to start the season. Hopefully Houston can take advantage and pounce on a losing, wounded Clippers team.

The Clippers, who were without Leonard for the entire season last year, have had him to start, but won’t in tonight’s matchup. Wall is also out with an injury. L.A. has less artillery. They also still have the lethal wingman Paul George. Expect PG13 to look to have scary good night offensively. Houston’s answers will have to come on the defensive end, and right from the opening tip… if they want to gain any popularity in the win column.
